PICK & MIX TALKS

Autistic individuals are all like “Pick & Mix” Sweets.

If a group of friends went into a shop and went up to the Pick & Mix counter to buy some sweets, then no two bags of sweets would be the same. Just like autistic people all have a different bag of traits.

I have put together a series of 6 individual talks, each focussing on a different autistic trait or characteristic. These new talks go into more detail about each autistic trait than the general awareness talks I already offer. My new talks are around 40 minutes long with time for Q&A afterwards. So, each talk session will be about 1 hour. You can book me to present all 6 talks as a whole package or choose any number that you would like me to present. I can present both online or on-site and can present these talks on the same day or on different days.

Talks to choose from:

  • Autism & Sensory Differences

  • Autism & Stress

  • Autism & Special Interests

  • Autism, Communication & Language

  • Autism, Change and Repetitive Behaviours

  • What Autism is Not

Reason behind developing these talks

Most of the talks that people present are around 1 specific autistic element such as school, the workplace, autism & girls, Sensory Challenges etc. There are some online courses and training sessions where each session or part of the course is specific to one trait or characteristic of autism. Most of these training sessions or talks are for individuals to do or book onto and therefore not available to companies as a whole. I don’t know of anyone presenting these training sessions as talks to companies. This is why I wanted to create them.
